Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, a diplomatic trip to Mexico and Guatemala experienced a rough start Sunday after the aircraft forced to return to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland around twenty-five minutes after it had taken off. The plane of Air Force Two landed safely. Spokesman Symone Sanders told reporters the aircraft returned due to a technical issue and said there were no major concerns about the technicalities.

After getting off the plane, Harris told reporters that she is good; all of them are good. Harris deplanes Air Force Two because of a technical problem forced the plane to return and forced it to land at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. on Sunday, 6th June 2021, as she was on the way to Guatemala City. Later, the vice president arrived in the capital of Guatemala, where Pedro Brolo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed her. Sanders shared a video on Twitter that shows Harris and Brolo waving to a crowd upon arrival.

Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris to Lead Diplomatic Reach
A two-day trip of vice president to Central America – her primary foreign trip after taking the oath – is part of her efforts to head diplomatic discussions to combat what the government describes as the actual causes of the disaster at the southern border. Joe Biden, the President of the United States, appointed her in March to head the diplomatic outreach, just as the government was dealing with a huge escalation at the border.
The vice president faced criticism because she didn’t visit the border. Sunday marked the 75th day that Harris neither traveled to American border communities nor held a press conference in connection with her responsibilities as manager of the governmental response to the border crisis. Afterward, Harris and her office responded to the criticism and claimed that her focus was always on the foundation causes of the migration, not on conditions in the border towns of the United States.

However, her critics argued that by visiting the communities at the United States border, Kamala Harris would gain significant insights into how the migrant issue affects those regions – in terms of business, crime, and strain on law enforcement resources and personnel.
